Another Day with the CTA...

So I'm walking up the stairs in the rain up to the train platform. It was about 5:45p on Monday. I hear some singing on the way up. I figure an unfortunate homeless person trying to make an extra buck, or a person with a home still trying to make an extra buck. Either way, to my surprise there is a man working for the CTA singing at the top with another man (non-CTA employee). I thought it was odd, but I said whatever and kept walking. The irony really set in when a train finally arrived at the Randolph stop (not the train I needed of course). People rushed on and the doors began to close, only to continue opening and closing. This happened several times for a couple of minutes. I look over at the CTA employee that we passed on our way up the stairs, the man hadn't moved. He continued to sing and not even come out to help. The CTA lady operating the train came sprinting out, pulled a few switches and levers to make the doors shut. My train finally showed up (5 minutes later), and all I could was the man singing in the background as I got on the train. Just another day dealing with the good ol' CTA...
