Back at It
I'm back at giving this blog a try. It's been a little while but now it's time to get going again. It was a long weekend with the family, but it was good to be around them to show some support. During tough times it's family that can help you get through everything. So I'll continue to be there and do all that I can do. That's all for tonight. I'm pooped...

A Tasty Meal..
We had a good meal today at Zapatista. I had the Tilapia en Chile Guajilo and Ellen had Tacos de Mahi Mahi. Both dishes were excellent. We also asked for some spicy salsa on the side. Excellent decision, as this added a little kick to the meal. Ellen's meal was 3 full tacos, rice and beans. My tilapia came in two large filets, sweet potato fries and some variation of spinach. Almost forgot to mention that Ellen had the Strawberry Mojito and I had a Modela Negro. We will be back!!!

Magic vs Lakers
The Magic are trying to stay alive in the best of 7 series. They are currently up by 3 with a little over a minute left. They trail the series 2-0. They have been ahead or tied most of the game. Let's see if they can pull this out...
Taking Pelham 123...
We went to go see Taking Pelham at an early sneak preview. Not a bad movie, but definitely not the greatest either. John Travolta and Denzel Washington co-star in this film based on the New York transit system. Travolta plays the bad guy who takes over a train underground. I won't spoil this for anyone reading the blog. I will give more information this weekend when the film comes out.

Another Day with the CTA...
So I'm walking up the stairs in the rain up to the train platform. It was about 5:45p on Monday. I hear some singing on the way up. I figure an unfortunate homeless person trying to make an extra buck, or a person with a home still trying to make an extra buck. Either way, to my surprise there is a man working for the CTA singing at the top with another man (non-CTA employee). I thought it was odd, but I said whatever and kept walking. The irony really set in when a train finally arrived at the Randolph stop (not the train I needed of course). People rushed on and the doors began to close, only to continue opening and closing. This happened several times for a couple of minutes. I look over at the CTA employee that we passed on our way up the stairs, the man hadn't moved. He continued to sing and not even come out to help. The CTA lady operating the train came sprinting out, pulled a few switches and levers to make the doors shut. My train finally showed up (5 minutes later), and all I could was the man singing in the background as I got on the train. Just another day dealing with the good ol' CTA...
